Safaa Zarzour
Safaa Zarzour is a Senior Attorney with Odelson, Murphey, Frazier & McGrath, Ltd. Safaa holds a Juris Doctor Degree from DePaul University’s School of Law, a Master’s in Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mathematics from Arkansas State University.
Safaa worked at Odelson, Murphey, Frazier & McGrath, Ltd. before starting his own practice. He returns to the firm after over a decade, focusing his practice in school law, municipal prosecutions, litigation and corporate matters, including development and real estate.
Safaa has an extensive background in civic and community institutions. He is an elected board member of School District 229, a board member and former chairman of the Council of Islamic Schools of North America (ISNA), the president of the Islamic Society of America, a member of the Board of Advisors of the Lake Institute on Faith and Vice President of the Syrian Forum USA. He is also a former member of the Bridgeview Public Library and former commissioner of the Bridgeview Park District.
Safaa’s education experience extends beyond the practice of law. He is the Superintendent of Universal School and MTI School of Knowledge located in Illinois and Indiana. He previously served as the Principal of Universal School, Secretary General of ISNA, General Counsel and Chief Operations Officer of Zakat Foundation of America, Chief Executive Officer of IQRA International Educational Foundation and was an adjunct law professor at Loyola Law School.
